The Final Brief outlined

The brief rewritten.

After speaking to my tutor, I have realised that I need to rework my ‘how to write like a Victorian’ book. I need to have more of a context for my Victorian writing and a more interesting approach to the interpretation of the writing. At the moment, the content isn’t there completely. It is just a book that shows the typefaces and a grid structure, it does not necessarily do anything other than this. Therefore, I need more of a context.

I want to create the visuals and the advertisement for an exhibition of famous Victorian writing. I think that this is the way that I want to develop this project. There is often museums that put on gallery exhibits for things like this- for exhibitions of letters etc. I want to come up with some content that would suit an exhibition of letters from the famous Victorians that I have produced vectored fonts for.
They are Queen Victoria, Charles Dickens, Charles Darwin, Florence Nightingale and Jack the Ripper. I need to come up with some exhibition content, information that I want to display in the exhibition itself.

I also need some imagery for this type of exhibition.  I have just been to an art gallery where they had an exhibition of a collection of memorabilia for Lady Godiva.

I want to take inspiration from this. I want the graphic elements of type to be really visually interesting.I want to approach the writing exploration with a new focus. I don’t simply want to have a really large letter form for each of the famous Victorians, though this is a starting point in my development of ideas. I want the design of the space to be powerful, mentally stimulating and visually unique. So, in a sentence, the new brief is to design an exhibition space that exhibits oritional Victorian writings from famous Victorians in an imaginative and interesting way, that explores the writing style of each of the Victorians.

Famous Victorian Letters.
Victorian era- 1837-1901

"This is a rare opportunity to see original handwritten letters by the most famous and infamous Victorians. Many of these letters are from private collections or the Queens own personal letters and have never seen the public eye before. "

Things that I will need to design-

Information points for the letters
A colour scheme for the room
The way that you are guided through the room
